Zrinjski Mostar VS Legia Warsaw Prediction

Season 2016-2017 in the UEFA Champions League starts for Bosnian champions Zrinjski Mostar and for their Polish opponents Legia Warsaw as both sides are beginning from the second qualifying round.
Zrinjski Mostar is the oldest football club in Bosnia and Herzegovina and season 2015-2016 has ended with winning of fourth trophy in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This returns Zrinjski in the UEFA Champions League after the unsuccessful attempt two years ago when “The Noblemen” were ingloriously eliminated by Slovenian Maribor, while season 2015-2016 was even worse since they were eliminated after first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League – losing 2-3 on aggregate by Armenian FC Shirak.
Now club led by Vinko Marinović will be keen to avoid similar destiny and Marinović was rewarded with more credit by the club, although he was the one who led it last year. Nevertheless, he brought the domestic trophy back into Zrinjski Mostar’s showcase and this year he will have even more difficult European challenge.
Legia Warsaw are champions of Poland for 11th time and they hit the double last season, after relevant triumphs in Polish Ekstraklasa and Cup. However, Legia lost by Lech Poznań in the Polish Super Cup game and this happened last Thursday and it struck with heavy loss – 1:4. Thus Lech Poznań marked Besnik Hasi’s debut in Polish football with a bitter taste and Albanian former coach of Anderlecht will have to mark his European debut in Legia not so far from his home country. He replaced Russian coach Stanislav Cherchesov and 44-year-old Hasi comes with certain experience from his stay in Belgian football. Not only as a player but with eight years experience in the most successful Belgian football club not only in European competitions, but as well as in the Belgian Pro League. Initially Hasi was assistant of Ariel Jacobs and John van den Brom, before taking control of the team in March 2014. He won the league and Belgian Super Cup but this happened in 2014 and now he’s open for new adventure.
Legia Warsaw have celebrated 100th anniversary early in 2016 and now “Legionnaires” are eager for European breakthrough. Michal Pazdan, Tomasz Jodłowiec (Poland), Ondrej Duda (Slovakia) and Nemanja Nikolic (Hungary) were all in the selection of their national team coaches on the recently ended UEFA Euro 2016 and they have missed the Polish Super Cup game. All of them are yet to start preparation with their club team or still haven’t finished their vacation, so this will seriously hit Legia’s potential in Tuesday evening. Nonetheless, Legia still owns wider selection than Zrinjski Mostar and they’re favorites not only to qualify, but for the game in Bosnia as well.
We believe that Legia won’t rush all the above mentioned names who are part from core of the team and it will be too early for all “Legionnaires” to open all their potential. One year ago Legia once again lost by Lech Poznan in the Super Cup match and few days later they’ve opened their European quest, but in Europa League.
