Willem II VS Ajax Prediction
Ajax will hope to remain on track when in Sunday afternoon the club from Amsterdam will visit Tilburg for a clash vs Willem II. After 25 Eredivisie rounds Ajax is on one point from PSV and Frank de Boer’s men are heading to Tilburg with four successive wins (started from the 2:1 win over Feyenoord). Hosts from Willem II are currently 15th and they’re with only three points away from the relegation zone – 25 against 22 for Excelsior. Distance remained the same as in the beginning of match week 24 since Willem II achieved a surprising win over Vitesse in Arnhem and this was actually first victory for Jurgen Streppel’s men in 2016. Perhaps a confidence boost which may come right on time, or Ajax will cool down their emotions?
It’s certain that “de Godenzonen” will hope PSV to make a wrong step in their Saturday night visit vs Groningen, but however, without matter what will happen in Groningen, Ajax must chase all points from its visit and Frank de Boer will have to pick his squad without some missing names. Anwar El Ghazi was sent off during the 4:1 success vs AZ Alkmaar last weekend, while Jairo Riedewald and Kenny Tete are both injured. This requires some rotations in defense where Joel Veltman played as a right-back in the previously mentioned game, while Mike van der Hoorn was Nick Viergever’s partner in the center, but now van der Hoorn is doubtful and this may cause another rotation and respectively Ricardo van Rhijn’s appear.
Arkadiusz Milik scored four goals in his last two appearances and Polish striker looks like returning in shape and this may come right on time, in the closing weeks of season 2015-2016 which can be delightful not only for Ajax’s title ambitions, but for the national team of Poland as well. Milik now has 13 Eredivisie goals and this makes him Ajax’s top scorer. We certainly believe that the club from Amsterdam is favorite here and that they’ll cope with the enthusiastic hosts. Our stake goes for the away team – Ajax to win.
