QPR VS West Ham Prediction

Queens Park Rangers will be keen to end the awful home form of the club from West London, as “The Hoops” are without a win on their “Loftus Road” since the days before Christmas, when on 20th of December QPR won over WBA with 3:2. Now, five rounds before the end of the Premier League season, Queens Park Rangers are deeply involved in the relegation battle and if they want to keep their EPL place a win here is more than necessary, since “The Hoops” are with seven (7) consecutive home defeats, which certainly contributes for their current positioning – 19th place with only 26 points won. “The R’s” will face against their city rivals from East London – West Ham United, who look confident for their midtable finish again, and “The Hammers” will arrive with an awful away form – the last win away from “The Boleyn Ground”(in the EPL) for Sam Allardyce’s men dates from the beginning of December, when West Ham won at “The Hawthorns” – 2:1 against WBA. Thereafter “The Hammers” are with 4 draws and 5 defeats in their 9 Premier League efforts, as the only away win for the club from Upton Park was in The FA Cup, where they won over Bristol City – 1:0.
“The Hoops” were quite unlucky to suffer defeat in their last home effort – 0:1 vs Chelsea, after a very good performance by Chris Ramsey’s men, but the approach of Jose Mourinho was the main reason for QPR’s defeat. Now “The R’s” will have another London derby, as some of their defeats at home (in the last couple of weeks) were against other city rivals – Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea, so at least on paper the home clash against West Ham should be easier, compared to the matchups vs the top EPL sides, but as we mentioned already, QPR have only 5 rounds remaining, which will add extra pressure as well.
Chris Ramsey can’t count to the injured Rio Ferdinand, Yun Suk-Young, Alejandro Faurlin and Eduardo Vargas, while Mauro Zarate is not available for the upcoming clash, since he has arrived on loan at “Loftus Road” exactly from West Ham. Few other names are doubts – Armand Traore, Darnell Furlong, Leroy Fer and Adel Taarabt are still under question but we believe that QPR still has what to show, as all eyes will be over the efforts of Charlie Austin and Bobby Zamora, who should play their roles in the end of the season.
West Ham’s season started quite well but the last few months have returned everything as usual, which surely is disappointing for some of the supporters, and for the board as well. Few months ago we already heard some rumours that Sam Allardyce may be replaced during the summer and considering the current morale of the squad – we won’t be surprised at all, if this happens. Allardyce will have to pick his starting squad without four injured names – James Tomkins and Guy Demel will miss for the defensive look of the team, while Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll’s absences will reduce the options in attack.

Betting prediction and possible starting squads of Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United – EPL 25.04.2015

It’s all or nothing for QPR here – this game should be won if the team wants to play Premier League football next year as well. so we’ll place our bets on the home side. “The Hoops” must use West Ham’s inconsistency, especially when their next two games are visits at “Anfield”, and at “Etihad Stadium”… These almost two weeks of rest must have been beneficial for “The R’s”.

Possible starting XI:

QPR: Green – Hill, Caulker, Onuoha, Isla – Phillips, Barton, Sandro, Kranjcar – Zamora, Austin. (4-4-2)

West Ham: Adrian – Jenkinson, Collins, Reid, Cresswell – Noble, Kouyate, Song – Downing, Valencia, Cole. (4-3-3)
