PSV Eindhoven VS CSKA Moscow Prediction
A win here will move PSV straight to the Round of 16 and we will take the risk. CSKA Moscow are not in their best form and the team from Russian capital lost in 5 from its last 6 competitive games, including their last two Champions League games – 0:1 from Manchester United and the home loss vs Wolfsburg, which has ended their Round of 16 hopes.
Now Leonid Slutsky’s men will play their last game for 2015 and it comes only few days after the disappointing 0:2 loss by Amkar Perm which made the distance between CSKA and the runner-ups FK Rostov on only 3 points, as “The Red-Blues” from Moscow have lost their solid leadership.
On other turn PSV scored a late winner against Vitesse in Saturday’s Eredivisie round up and this was their third successive clean sheet in all competitions, including the 0:0 draw at “Old Trafford”. Now Phillip Cocu’s men are keen for another win which will be a sweet revenge for the 2:3 defeat near Moscow, as well it will qualify PSV for the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since season 2006-2007 when PSV were eliminated by Liverpool in the quarter-finals.
