Empoli VS Inter Milan Prediction
Inter must show some of their very best in case that “Nerazzurri” want to keep the first position after the visit in Tuscany. Empoli is one from the teams in superb form as “The Blues” will take on Inter in one very tricky game for both sides.
Empoli are in excellent form as they will start the New Year at home, coming after four successive wins in the final weeks of 2015. But that’s not all – Empoli is unbeaten in the last 5 rounds and their only defeat in the last 9 games came against the champions Juventus. Very impressive efforts by Marco Giampaolo’s men who are on 8th position and they can be very happy from the 27 points won so far.
The only question is will Empoli manage to carry the good form from 2015 in 2016 and how prepared they’re to face against a club which is very well organized in defence. Some of their previous victims are names like Lazio, Fiorentina and Napoli, as the latter two haven’t lost from Empoli, but the draws they had were certainly considered as a slip for the favorites.
Roberto Mancini’s men coulda have even bigger advantage from all other Scudetto pretenders but the surprising defeat from Lazio came in the last round before Christmas. Now “The Nerazzurri” are keen to return on the winning path as they must be very careful.
Inter is without the suspended defensive midfielder Felipe Melo who was sent off late in the mentioned defeat vs Lazio, but we do believe that his absence may have a positive influence over the upcoming clash in Empoli. Melo is very risky player and as an evidence we’ll mention that this was his second red card in Serie A for this season… Last time when he was sent off Inter managed to win in Bologna but against Empoli, Roberto Mancini will need more attacking minded players, perhaps someone from between Geoffrey Kondogbia, Marcelo Brozovic and Fredy Guarín. He can name two of them if we count Gary Medel as a sure starter…
Despite the very good form in the past months we think that Empoli is far from the constant of being a solid team and we expect a drop in their form as well. If Inter succeed to show the regular good defensive formation, then we believe that their attacking formation will work as well and someone from Stevan Jovetić, Ivan Perišić, Adem Ljajić, Jonathan Biabiany and Mauro Icardi can find the proper way to net the ball in Empoli’s goal.
