Chelsea VS Crystal Palace Prediction
All eyes will be focused over the upcoming London derby, when in Sunday afternoon Chelsea can make the final step for their 5th Premier League trophy, and first one after the triumph in season 2009-2010. This can happen if “The Blues” achieve the victory over Crystal Palace, no matter that even if they fail to win, we don’t believe that someone have any doubts over the future Premier League champion… However Jose Mourinho requires concentration and the Portuguese manager of “The Blues” wants full concentration from his men here. That’s why we expect the best formation for Chelsea, who already lifted the League Cup and a home turf double won’t be bad at all.
The visitors from South Norwood will arrive at “Stamford Bridge” after two very surprising defeats in two consecutive home appearances – 0:2 defeats from West Bromwich Albion and Hull City, but “Glaziers” are still on 12th (42 points) position and Alan Pardew’s men are with 12 points more than the 18th placed Sunderland, but “The Black Cats” have one game less. However the gap between Crystal Palace and the relegation zone is big enough and we certainly believe that there can be no question about the Crystal Palace’s Premier League status, especially when “The Eagles” have passed the cherished 40 points. Now Alan Pardew and his men can play the rest of the season for their pride and we’re sure that all supporters are very happy from the first months of Alan Pardew at “Selhurst Park” and before the last two defeats, the team was with 5 wins in 6 rounds.
Another thing here is that Crystal Palace has shown that the club can play well against the top EPL sides and we saw that “Glaziers” even have won against the last year’s champion Manchester City, only few weeks ago. Players like Yannick Bolasie, Jason Puncheon, Wilfried Zaha and the lethal finishing of Glenn Murray are impressive enough and we believe that Crystal Palace can surely produce us some goal/goals in Sunday afternoon, when everyone will expect Chelsea to record an easy win. That’s why our pick here is for “Both teams to score“, like in the game at “Selhurst Park” back in October, when Chelsea won with 2:1 over Crystal Palace of Neil Warnock, and like in 6 from the last 7 visits of Crystal Palace against Chelsea, including the last three times.
