Torino vs Lazio Prediction, Preview, Lineups & Betting Tips
The Roman Eagles hope to continue their flight towards a Champions League breakthrough with this tricky upcoming journey to a Torino outfit who have lost hope to play European football next season.
The Biancocelesti are having a busy campaign, starting with triumph over Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana, took them to the Europa League quarter-finals and Coppa Italia semi-final, and now joint third with city rival Roma. However, Inter Milan remain only one point behind and the race for a top four position will go down to the wire, especially as the final round of the Serie A campaign meets Lazio and Inter.
Simone Inzaghi’s men are undefeated in Serie A since nearly two months, losing 0-1 against Juventus on 3rd of March, amassing four victories and three draws ever since. In that period Lazio scored 19 goals and conceded 9, many of them by top goalscorer Ciro Immobile, who has 29 goals and 9 assists in 31 rounds.
Marco Parolo is out injured, but Alessandro Murgia and Luis Alberto both return from suspension.
Torino have dropped five points in their last two matches against direct rivals Milan and Atalanta. Now they are seven points adrift of the Europa League positions. Walter Mazzarri relied on a new coach boost when taking over from Sinisa Mihajlovic, but the Toro’s Europa League ambitions vanished after a 1-1 draw with AC Milan and 1-2 loss to Atalanta last round. That bad run makes them winless in three rounds, as Torino’s last win came in a home match against Inter Milan – 1:0 earlier this month.
Hosts have nothing to lose here so we expect open football between these two clubs on Sunday night. Thus we’d like to place a bet on “Both teams to score & Over 2.5 Goals“.
