Bulgarian First League: Cherno More vs Dunav Ruse 28.07.2017
“The Sailors” started the new 2017-18 campaign in the best possible way with two victories after two rounds. In opening round Cherno More defeated the newcomers Vitosha Bistritsa (1:0 in Kavarna), and in the second they also won 0:4 over Vereya in Stara Zagora. In these two games Cherno More scored 5 goals and did not concede a goal in their own net. This gives confidence to the players of Georgi “Gonzo” Ivanov that they can continue their winning streak today. Moreover, Cherno More is returning to its home stadium “Ticha”, after spending 14 months in Kavarna (a small town located 60 km’s northern of Varna) during some reconstructions (new pitch, lights, minor renovation, etc.).
Guests from Ruse can not complain after their first two championship games as well. First of all Dunav defeated newcomers Septemvri in Sofia (0:2) but then flopped up with Beroe – 1:1 home draw on Monday night. Only couple of days later Veselin Velikov’s men are set for a difficult visit, however “The Dragons” believe they can leave with a point or why not even with three. Indeed, Dunav does well on the road and they were in a similar situation as Cherno More – had to play home games away from Ruse for most of the 2016-17 season.
Match Preview: Team News, Squads and Missing Players
Cherno More will be without the injured summer signing Vitinha (left-back) once more. However, he already missed the first two legs and youngster Martin Kostadinov does well on that position. There are no fresh injury concerns and Georgi Ivanov is expected to start with same squad he used against Vereya last Friday – Emil Mihaylov on the goal, Sukup, Hassani, Tsvetkov, Kostadinov as a defensive quartet. Captain Georgi Iliev and Orlin Starokin will operate as both defensive midfielders while Maryan Ognyanov and Atanas Zehirov will start on both wings. Tsvetelin Chunchukov will be on top of the formation with Georgi Bozhilov attacking from second position.
On other hand guests from Ruse travel to Varna without injured goalkeeper Martin Lukov. Coach Veselin Velikov will most likely start the game with Stanislav Antonov under the sticks and Mihail Milchev, Oleksiy Larin, Petar Patev and Hristofor Hubchev in defense. Skipper Diyan Dimov and Samir Ayass will play in the middle while Vasil Shopov will play more attacking role in front of them. Branimir Kostadinov and Birsent Karageren will be both wingers as Miroslav Budinov is expected to lead Dunav’s attack.
Cherno More vs Dunav Ruse Prediction and Betting Tips
