T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is set to host on of the biggest sporting events this year – the UFC rematch between Nate Diaz (19-10 MMA, 14-8 UFC) and featherweight champion Conor McGregor (19-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC). Nate Diaz defeated the Notorious Irishman at UFC 196 in March and McGregor was more than keen to seek revenge.
A lot of digital ink has been spilled on this fight, but there is still so, so much to talk about.
The rematch was supposed to take place at UFC 200, but McGregor refusal to participate in the obligatory media events postponed the fight for this Saturday. And that gave the fighters extra time to build up their heated rivalry.
The stakes are high for both Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.
There were a lot of split opinions about the legitimacy of Nate’s win, because the fight took place at 170lbs and McGregor was supposed to fight at 155lbs, but his opponent pulled off with broken leg. That gave McGregor only a few days to reach the weight of Nate Diaz.
Nate Diaz popularity exploded after that victory and if he goes 2-0 against The Notorious that certainly won’t hurt his brand.
However, McGregor looks more focused this time around. And given the fact that he had time to prepare with sparring partners which have similar style to Diaz we will give him the edge and the chance for revenge.
Our betting prediction is: Conor McGregor to win 1.80
